This certificate can be completed 100% asynchronously online
Beginning in fall of 2024, non-resident accounting students can pay tuition for online accounting courses at the resident rate! For a student taking 14 courses, this discount will put over $6,000 in your pocket. To obtain this lower price, email Al Case (casea@sou.edu) after you are admitted, letting him know that you want the resident rate for your online courses.

Note that if you have a degree in business, or have taken some of these courses already, your pathway to completion will be shorter.
You can begin taking courses for the Certificate in Accounting any term. You do not have to begin in spring or fall as the above shows. Most courses are only offered once per year so if you aren't following one of the above schedules, consult with your accounting advisor to figure out a schedule that works for you.
